Printing Information

Woofy Designs uses a printing company to transfer the product designs to your garments and accessories. This is done in two main ways, Direct To Garment (DTG) printing, or by using Digital Transfers. An explanation of these methods is below.

What is DTG printing?

Our printing company uses the latest technology in  direct to garment printing our printers use a combination of white and CMYK inks that are laid onto the shirt to create the design. Once the print has finished, the shirt is cured using heat to prevent the design from washing out. Digital printing is perfect for smaller quantities, higher detail, and quick turnaround times.

Why choose DTG

The t-shirt is loaded into an oversized "inkjet" printer. A combination of white and CMYK inks are laid onto the shirt to create the design. Once the print has finished, the shirt is cured using heat to prevent the design from washing out. Digital printing is perfect for smaller quantities, higher detail, and quick turnaround times.

What are digital transfers and how do they work?

Digital Transfer involves a Solvent ink printer and a heat press. The special substrate is fed through the printer, once printed this is weeded and applied to the garment using a time /pressure heat press.

Why choose digital transfers?

Digital Transfer is often used as treatment on a garments, bags, hats... Or printer often uses this process for dimensional designs applied to long sleeve tops, named & numbered team uniforms, funky cap logos, tote bag designs and polyester.
